The largest alligator living at Wakodahatchie Wetlands has been named 'George' by visitors and is reputed to be 14 feet long (it's not clear who measured him). This 'gator was a bit smaller than George but still a pretty good size. One evening as we were leaving the Wetlands, two male 'gators were roaring at each other. According to Wikipedia, American alligators max out at about 15 feet, so George is definitely a big one.
