Palm Anomaly
California palm trees lining the base of the Little Finland cliff are native to the southern part of that state. Gold Butte is well north of their native region and it's unclear how they became established at Little Finland. Their bright green fronds make a vivid contrast with the deep red, Aztec sandstone.
