Narrows Notes: Most of the time, the Virgin River was a bit less than knee-deep, but sections were waist-deep, and fast-moving channels were even deeper but could be avoided. I rented a full dry-suit, special hiking shoes and neoprene booties, a dry-sack, and a wooden walking stick (trekking poles tend to snap when wedged between rocks).
