First light deepens the hues of canyon walls at the confluence of the Colorado and Little Colorado rivers, as seen from the main viewpoint for the Confluence. Cape Solitude on the south rim of the Grand Canyon stands high above the confluence, faced by Chuar Butte at right. Following overnight rain upstream, the Little Colorado water can be seen this morning as a more vivid shade of brown where it mixes with the Colorado.
