A vista so vast begs for a panorama, but panoramic images do not display well on a computer screen. They need to be printed - big! The vista at Point Sublime is truly stunning - in one spot it stretches about 270 degrees, with vast canyons as far as the eye can see. During the afternoon, lines of aircraft flew along the distant Colorado River, ferrying sightseers and supplies. This panorama was shot just after sunset, as alpenglow warms the sky and the red cliffs. This panorama shows only the eastern half of the vista visible from Point Sublime.
