Sunrise Silhouette
Monument Valley's three iconic buttes -- West Mitten, East Mitten and Merrick -- are silhouetted against the eastern sky at sunrise. This was the only colorful sunrise during an otherwise cloudy, windy and dusty week. This vantage point was reached after a scramble down the steep slope below The View hotel.
