Nameless Sunrise
A dramatic but nameless butte stands tall above eroding slopes as sunrise warms the eastern sky in a view from near the South Canyon campsite. The geology was fascinating here; the whole area along the rim was riddled with sinkholes, small and large, where soil is apparently being washed down through the rock and out through the canyon walls.
