Bleak Spirit
A September snowstorm swooped down on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park as we prepared to board the launch for the trip across the lake. We were hopeful it might lift in time for sunset, but we gave up and returned on the same launch. We had planned to hide in the woods until the next launch came, but it wasn't worth the effort with such miserable conditions.
