While I waited for burrowing owls along NPS-5 / Highland Ridge Road in Wind Cave National Park, two
pronghorn does ambled slowly across the prairie dog colony toward my truck. They walked within a few feet, pausing to listen to the sound of my shutter. Both were very curious and not at all alarmed -- one even turned back to investigate.
