Sky Tint

The Belt of Venus lends a lovely range of pastels to the eastern sky, framed by Corona Arch. Although not within Arches National Park, it is nearby on BLM land. The 3.4m round-trip hike is not difficult, but route-finding in the dark was rather challenging. BLM has marked most of the trail with stenciled arrows on slickrock but the junction with another trail was not well marked. I wasted precious time trying, in the dark, to find the next marker. Fortunately I was able to get back on trail and reach the arch before sunrise.
