Evening Reverie

Steve leans against a boulder on the ledge below Crack-in-the-Wall, high above Coyote Gulch, while trying to shelter from dust-filled winds. By 3am the winds stopped, but in the morning we found that everything -- ears, sleeping bags, tents -- was filled with sand and dust. This was just the first of numerous afternoons and nights with high winds filled with sand and dust during our two-week trip. [photo by Glenn Carter]
