Fleeing high winds filled with sand and dust, Glenn and I found room on the ledge below Crack-in-the-Wall to pitch our tents. This allowed us to be there at sunrise the following morning. We originally planned to camp on the slickrock atop the mesa to await sunrise, but the blowing sand and dust forced us to see whatever shelter we could find.
